  • Download K-State's Rubric for Quality E-Learning is a resource for confirming online courses' quality, design, development, and delivery. Compliance with the rubric standard is the basis for rewarding faculty with grants for distance education conference travel or developing new or revised courses and unique curriculum programs.
  • Getting Started with Canvas is a public course for instructors with helpful technical tips and resources on using the Canvas Learning Management System.
  • Canvas Course Shell is a template course created by K-State Global Campus for faculty to jump-start their course design and enhance learning materials. It can be downloaded from the Canvas Commons, and available to anyone with instructor access to Canvas. Choose Kansas State University under the "Shared with" tab. You will find the Kansas State University Global Campus Online Course Shell.
  • Faculty Development Modules course recipients of Global Campus Distance Learning Development Grants are required.
  • Each January, Peer-to-Peer Distance Learning Exchange and the Have a Byte, each September, provide an opportunity for faculty to share best practices and lessons learned.
  • The Faculty Exchange for Teaching Excellence Links to an external site. (FETE), under the Teaching & Learning Center umbrella, is dedicated to enhancing teaching and learning at Kansas State University.
  • Personalized Help Sessions, instructors can schedule an appointment to meet with a Canvas expert to review their course and answer questions. To schedule a one-on-one help session, fill out this ServiceNow form Links to an external site.. A Canvas expert will contact you to schedule a help session.

Faculty members who need assistance with accommodating a student with a documented disability should contact the access services office on the appropriate Campus. Assistance may include administration course exams with extended time and a distraction-reduced environment or providing an alternate format of text materials.
